The alert was received by the CECOES 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands at 12:30 PM. Personnel from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames, ventilate the building, and rescue seven people and several animals trapped inside.
The Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) medical team assessed five individuals. Among those affected, a 13-year-old minor was transported to the University Maternal and Child Hospital of Gran Canaria with moderate injuries after falling from the building.
Additionally, a 71-year-old woman was taken to the University Hospital Insular of Gran Canaria due to moderate smoke inhalation. Another 71-year-old woman was transferred to a local health center after suffering an anxiety attack.
The security and assistance operation included the Local Police, National Police, and Civil Protection, who secured the area and carried out the necessary procedures following the event.
