The award, promoted by the Patronato de Música XVIII de Enero, is the only one in the municipality aimed at valuing the cultural merit of its citizens. Since its creation in 2017, the Ancla de Oro has established itself as a recognition for those who contribute to building, preserving, transmitting, and enriching the culture, heritage, and identity of La Guancha.
The call encompasses a broad view of culture, including areas such as music, education, heritage, folklore, traditions, arts, literature, history, memory, crafts, communication, research, associations, and other initiatives that have left a significant mark on the municipality.
The deadline for submitting candidacies will be open from September 1 to December 1, 2026. Individuals, entities, associations, or collectives can be nominated, provided their merits have a significant link to the culture, heritage, identity, or cultural projection of La Guancha. Posthumous nominations are also accepted.
Because recognizing those who create culture is also recognizing our history and our identity.
The La Guancha City Council encourages citizens to participate in this new edition and to nominate those individuals or groups they consider worthy of this important recognition for their trajectory and contributions.
Candidacy submissions will take place from September 1 to December 1, 2026. The bases and forms are available at www.amle.es/ancladeoro, and the contact email is amlaguancha@gmail.com.
The award decision is expected in the first days of January 2027, and the award ceremony will preferably take place during the Extraordinary Concert of January 18th by the Agrupación Musical La Esperanza, scheduled for January 23, 2027.
