The training day, which will take place between 07:30 and 14:00, will be centered in the El Farrobo area. The goal is to improve response times for fires threatening urban areas by integrating forest and urban firefighting efforts.
The ES-Alert system, managed by 112 Canarias, will send two notifications to mobile devices in the area: one at 11:00 for confinement and another at 11:25 for evacuation. Authorities have asked the public not to be alarmed, as this is a technical test.
To facilitate the operation, an Advanced Command Post has been set up on Avenida Cristóbal Barrios. The Local Police have restricted parking at Ángeles Machado square and scheduled traffic closures on Las Eras, Los Alfareros, and Bajada de Las Hayas streets.
