La Gomera's driver José Manuel González, representing the Gomera Auto-Racing team, achieved a valuable third-place finish at the 17th Estepona – Peñas Blancas Hill Climb, the inaugural event of the Spanish Hill Climb Championship (CEM).

In a competition featuring prominent rivals, González showcased his driving prowess in his 2015 Porsche 911 GT3, a vehicle that underwent a thorough overhaul before the event. His performance secured him a podium spot in the highly competitive Category 1.
The reigning champion of the Spanish Hill Climb Cup (CopaEM) returned to this iconic Andalusian ramp, where he had not competed since 2022, facing numerous challenges. Changing weather conditions, including intermittent rain, complicated the 7.70-kilometer course, leading the Race Direction to declare races 3 and 4 as wet.

"The weekend started with complicated conditions due to the inclement weather, but we are very happy with this experience. We have shared great battles with our competitors and friends. We had a lot of fun. My thanks to the sponsors and institutions that support us, and especially to the mechanics, who have had some very busy days."
