The promotional strategy, driven by Turismo de La Gomera in collaboration with Promotur-Turismo de Canarias and the Spanish Tourist Office in Vienna, seeks to attract travelers who value authentic experiences in uncrowded environments. The goal is to establish the island as a global benchmark for sustainability, safety, and tourism quality.
“"The Czech market is identified as a strategic and growing source, with an active tourist profile interested in both natural and cultural heritage, and showing a significant average daily expenditure of 150 euros per person."
The delegation included prominent figures in Czech journalism. Among them were Lucie Silhova, editor-in-chief of Styl pro ženy and the weekly supplement of the prestigious newspaper Právo, media outlets that collectively reach over 66,000 weekly views. Also participating was Barbora Slavíková Literová, editor-in-chief of Koktejl magazine and the Czech edition of National Geographic, with an estimated audience of 236,000 readers. They were joined by Taťána Kynčlová, representing Novinky.cz, the digital travel portal with the widest reach in the Czech Republic, recording between 3 and 4 million unique monthly users.
The delegation was completed by freelance journalist Petra Stehulova, a contributor to trend and lifestyle media such as HROT, Reporter, and Lidé a země magazines, and Zuzana Churanova, delegate of the Spanish Tourist Office in Vienna for Czechia, who will also disseminate the island's values through professional platforms like the TTG podcast and Choice luxury magazine.
During their stay, the group of journalists had the opportunity to experience firsthand the natural, ethnographic, and cultural values of La Gomera. They enjoyed experiences linked to new tourism products offered by the island, such as maritime excursions, visits to local wineries in rural areas, and demonstrations of Silbo Gomero, the island's ancient whistled language.
