The initiative encompasses a variety of events including theatrical performances, book presentations, musical acts, and various activities aimed at fostering reading habits among all audiences on the island. These events will take place in different municipalities, seeking to bring culture to every corner of La Gomera.

The program will begin on Monday, April 13, with the opening of submissions for the XVII 'Ruiz de Padrón' Hyper-short Story Contest, which will accept entries until April 30, 2026. Among the highlighted events, the Island Auditorium of La Gomera, in San Sebastián, will host the children's play Piratas Ilustrados by Reciclown Teatro on Monday, April 20, aimed at students from various educational centers.
This same performance will be offered on Tuesday, April 21, at the Casa de la Cultura in Valle Gran Rey, and on Wednesday, April 22, at the Casa de la Cultura Pedro García Cabrera in Vallehermoso, reaching more students across the island. On Thursday, April 23, Book Day, the book La Magua de Guadá by Natalia Guillén Chinea will be presented at the Cabildo's Plenary Hall, accompanied by a musical performance by the Dúo Docentes del CEMAJ.
On Friday, April 24, the Island Auditorium will host the musical El príncipe y el mendigo by the Habemus Teatro company. On Saturday, April 25, the Plaza de La Constitución in San Sebastián will host the Island Book Fair, featuring children's performances such as El Quijotito by Teatrapa Plus and book presentations by authors including Mirian Eugenia Vigo Vadillo, Carlos Jesús Pérez Simancas, Olivia Armas Padilla, Paola Estefanía Díaz Hernández, and Sergi Rifá Burrel.
On the same day, Vallehermoso will host the presentation of the book El último amor de Sventenius by professor Ángeles Alemán Gómez, followed by the musical show Verso y Reverso. The program will conclude on Tuesday, April 28, with the children's show La Superabuela by Daniel Negrín, at the Island Auditorium of La Gomera.
