This initiative, organized by the Cabildo de La Gomera in collaboration with Librería Junonia, is part of the island's program for Book Day. The event aims to strengthen the cultural sector and bring literature closer to the public, fostering reading habits that contribute to the educational and critical development of the population.

"The objective of this program is to bring books closer to citizens, facilitating access to literature and consolidating habits that contribute to the formative and critical development of the population."

The day began with the performance of the children's and youth play El Quijotito, by the company Teatrapa Plus, bringing classic literary figures closer to the youngest attendees. Subsequently, several new publications were presented, including Cocó, el sapo verde y el sendero del bosque encantado, Mitomancia, and Yo soy Fénix: Materia prima para ir creando alquimia interior, with the participation of their respective authors, who shared technical and creative details with the audience.
The fair continued in the afternoon with literary presentations in San Sebastián, such as Memorias de una treintañera and La novia viajera. Simultaneously, the program extended to other municipalities on the island. In Vallehermoso, the work El último amor de Sventenius was presented, and the Plaza de la Constitución hosted the show Verso y Reverso, which brought together prominent Gomera poets and local artist Arón Morales.
To conclude the day, Agulo hosted a concert by Marta Bolaños in Plaza de Leoncio Bento, as part of the Festival No Solo Boleros. This open-air event offered a musical proposal that combines roots, emotion, and various sounds, highlighting the artist's presence and sensitivity.
