The Cabildo of La Gomera and the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands have agreed to guarantee the continuity of the educational offer on the island for the next academic year.

Both institutions have highlighted the predisposition and sensitivity shown to maintain permanent dialogue, ensuring that La Gomera has a training offer adapted to its social, territorial, and demographic circumstances. The importance of preserving current studies, especially in stages like Baccalaureate and Vocational Training, is emphasized as key to equal opportunities and social cohesion.
The island corporation recalls that over 2,200 students are pursuing studies in La Gomera. Maintaining a sufficient and balanced offer is essential to avoid unnecessary travel and ensure that Gomera students have the same opportunities as those in the rest of the Archipelago.
Coordinated work between the Cabildo and the Ministry of Education has been highlighted, enabling actions across the entire network of schools in La Gomera. This institutional cooperation has been crucial for improving infrastructure and strengthening educational services on the island.
