The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has opened the application period for its Trulenque program, offering day trips to La Gomera with included accommodation for residents over 60.

This initiative, specifically designed for senior citizens of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, includes a day trip to the island of La Gomera, complete with bus transportation and an organized cultural activity program. The excursions will be conducted in two shifts during 2026: the first on May 20 and 21, and the second on June 3 and 4.
The Trulenque program covers one night of accommodation in La Gomera at no cost to participants. A specialized agency is responsible for the logistical organization, while the City Council funds all activity services, with the exception of the ferry ticket, which each participant must pay directly to the travel agency.
To be eligible, applicants must be over 60 years old and have been registered residents of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for at least three years. Additionally, there are annual income limits: 17,000 euros for single-member households, 30,000 euros for two or three-member households, and 32,000 euros for households with more than three members.
The deadline for submitting applications, along with all required documentation, is April 15. The provisional list of admitted participants and the waiting list will be published on April 30. Necessary documents include the application form, copies of valid identification documents, family book or civil registry certificate, health card, residency certificate, and a medical certificate.
Furthermore, applicants must provide proof of economic income, such as an official certificate of pensions or benefits, an unemployment registration card and SEPE benefit certificate, the last three pay stubs for employed individuals, the last quarterly IRPF settlement, and a declaration of responsibility for monthly income for self-employed individuals, along with a copy of the latest income tax return.
