The incident occurred at 3:16 PM on the North Ring Road in the municipality of Santa Cruz de La Palma. The 112 Emergency and Safety Coordinating Center (CECOES) of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting the accident and the need for medical assistance.
As a result of the impact, a 57-year-old woman, the motorcyclist, suffered moderate injuries and was transferred by an SUC sanitary ambulance to the General Hospital of La Palma. The other affected person, a 43-year-old woman who was in the car, experienced anxiety attacks and was evacuated by a basic life support ambulance to the Health Center of Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The emergency services activated by 112 included a sanitary ambulance and a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), as well as the intervention of the Local Police.
The Local Police were responsible for regulating traffic on the affected road and preparing the corresponding report to clarify the causes of the accident.
