The swimming pool at the Venancio Monzón Mendoza Sports City in Gáldar reopened this Monday after being closed for three months for the complete renovation of its perimeter liner, an investment of 70,000 euros.

The Department of Physical Activity, Sport, and Health of the Gáldar City Council has announced the reopening of the swimming pool at the Venancio Monzón Mendoza Sports City. The facility had been closed for three months for the complete renovation of its perimeter liner.
The total investment for this project amounted to 70,000 euros. The mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa Monzón, highlighted during the reopening that this work is a precursor to improving other sports infrastructures in the municipality. He announced that the next phase will include the expansion of the municipal gym, in addition to recalling the recent opening of two new paddle tennis courts and future improvements to the lower seating area.
The mayor emphasized the municipal commitment to modernizing the Venancio Monzón Mendoza Sports City, underscoring the trust that users from the north of Gran Canaria place in the Sports Department.
With the pool's reopening, swimming courses for children and adults, as well as Aquaerobics and Maintenance Gymnastics sessions, also resume. The water temperature will be maintained between 28 and 29 degrees Celsius, in compliance with current regulations.
For their part, the councilor for Physical Activity, Sport, and Health, Ancor Bolaños, thanked the company responsible for the work and all the involved workers for their effort and dedication.
