The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished a fire in a Puerto del Carmen, Tías, residence during the early hours of Monday, which originated from lit candles and engulfed the property.

The incident occurred on Salinas Street in the well-known tourist town of Puerto del Carmen, on the island of Lanzarote. Fortunately, the house was unoccupied when the flames erupted, preventing any personal injuries.
According to sources from the Consortium, the fire spread rapidly, affecting all rooms of the property. Firefighters deployed an operation using five 28-meter hose sections to control and extinguish the blaze.
Once the extinguishing efforts were completed and the area secured, personnel accompanied the tenant inside the dwelling to retrieve some personal belongings. Subsequently, the apartment was cordoned off to ensure safety.
