The Cabildo de Lanzarote, through its Crafts Department, has launched the third edition of 'Patio de las Tradiciones' in Haría, an educational initiative designed to introduce traditional craftsmanship to primary and secondary school students.

The Lanzarote Craftsmanship Didactic Sessions, known as 'Patio de las Tradiciones', began on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the municipality of Haría. This program, which will run until Friday, April 10, 2026, primarily aims to preserve and disseminate knowledge about the island's traditional culture among younger generations.
Aimed at sixth-grade primary and first-year secondary students, the activities include cultural walks, guided tours, and practical workshops, with the involvement of professional artisans. Students will enjoy a walking tour starting at the Haría Craft Market, where they will visit local artisans. Afterwards, they will head to the municipal square to witness a demonstration of the stick-fighting game, concluding at the La Tegala Cultural Center with a traditional pottery workshop.
During the journeys, a specialized guide explains relevant aspects of Haría's culture, heritage, and craftsmanship, adapting the content to the age of the young participants. The general schedule for activities is from 9:15 AM to 12:45 PM, with an adapted schedule from 9:45 AM to 12:15 PM.

"It is essential to promote among the youth the dedication of the island's professionals who, thanks to their hands and effort, have enriched the island's identity and respect for our roots from generation to generation."
