The Lanzarote Sports City, located in Arrecife, will undergo significant improvements within a maximum period of 90 days, according to three contracts finalized by the Cabildo.

The company Nec Active has a 90-day timeframe to carry out the planned improvements at the Lanzarote Sports City in Arrecife. These actions, formalized by the Cabildo in late June, will likely take place during the summer to be completed by the start of the next sports season.
The intervention with the highest investment focuses on the handball facilities. The pavement, which is significantly deteriorated, will be completely replaced, and a full repaint will be carried out. This project has a budget of approximately 56,700 euros.
Similarly, the tennis area will also receive upgrades, including the installation of new flooring. The investment for this zone is around 32,000 euros, as per the planning by the Island Sports Service.

"The third action, with a combined expenditure of 55,500 euros, will involve installing new protective nets on the football field; as well as placing nets on part of the perimeter of the indoor pavilion's court, as a motorized curtain net, to facilitate mobility."

In contrast, the planned improvements for the office area and the installation of vending machines, with a budget of nearly 82,000 euros, cannot be executed this summer as the tender was declared void. A new bidding process will be necessary for their completion by the end of the year.
