The cultural event, which has become an essential date in Canarias' literary calendar, will also include the participation of writer Marta Jiménez and actor and musician Abraham Boba, leader of the band León Benavente. The organization, led by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, has announced that further program details will be revealed progressively.
This year, the Book Fair will pay tribute to Arrecife writer Félix Hormiga, highlighting his legacy and contribution to local literature. Activities will be held at various emblematic locations in the capital, including Ramírez Cerdá Park, the UNED library, the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture, and CIC El Almacén, all offering free public access.
As in previous editions, the Fair will provide a diverse space where performing arts, music, illustration, and children's workshops will play a leading role. Additionally, sales stands for bookstores, publishers, and cultural institutions will be set up, fostering interaction among authors, readers, and industry professionals.
The Isla Literaria Association, which brings together Lanzarote's publishing and bookstore guilds, has placed special emphasis on programming aimed at teachers of all educational levels. With the support of UNED, two mornings will be dedicated to the student population, aiming to introduce reading to new generations and promote reading habits among young people.
