The Guía City Council is advancing the improvement of the playground in Casas de Aguilar square, an initiative supported by a €23,888 grant from the Gran Canaria Cabildo.

The Casas de Aguilar square will soon feature a renewed and modernized children's play area. This initiative, driven by the Guía City Council, addresses a community demand, particularly from families of students at the CEIP Luján Pérez school.
The project will be realized thanks to a specific grant of €23,888 awarded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. Following the confirmation of this funding, the council will proceed with the tender for the supply and installation of the new equipment, a crucial preliminary step before work begins.
The improvements include the installation of new play elements, a wooden fence, and an identification sign. Additionally, 92 square meters will be covered with continuous shock-absorbent surfacing, ensuring user safety.
Juan Jiménez, the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, emphasized that the intervention responds to citizen requests and reaffirmed the municipal commitment to enhancing public spaces. "With the grant already secured and the upcoming tender for the works, we continue to move forward so that the children of Casas de Aguilar can soon enjoy a larger, more modern, and above all, safer park," he stated.
The City Council reiterated its dedication to progressively improving playgrounds and other public areas within the municipality, addressing citizen needs and prioritizing actions that enhance residents' quality of life.
