The project, funded by the Department of Roads and Works with an investment of approximately 40,000 euros, transforms a former dirt path into a safe and accessible space, addressing a community demand.
The work included reinforcing a section of the road with a rock wall to ensure slope stability, constructing the new connecting staircase between the two streets, and conditioning a green area with low-water-consumption plant species adapted to the local climate. Prior cleaning of the site removed years of accumulated debris and waste.
The garden landscaping was carried out by municipal staff from the Department of Parks and Gardens, using stones from Gáldar extracted from La Montaña itself.

The first deputy mayor, Julio Mateo, announced that several works will continue in the coming months on other undeveloped municipal plots along the neighborhoods on the slopes of La Montaña to finalize the tidying up of these spaces and adapt them to the new urban reality of the area.
