The Municipal Music Band of the Royal City of Gáldar has once again brought symphonic music to all audiences with its Extraordinary Concert, held as part of the 544th Santiago Major Festivities. The event, organized by the Culture and Festivities department of the Gáldar City Council, turned the stage in Santiago Square into a true celebration.
Under the direction of Rubén Guerrero, the hundred members of the band performed a varied repertoire of Spanish and Latin music. The performance began with songs by Fórmula V such as “La Fiesta de Blas” and “Eva María”, then moved on to Spanish copla with versions of Isabel Pantoja like “El veneno” and “Marinero de Luces”.
The concert continued with major hits from Alaska and merengue tunes, as well as a tribute to the iconic Camela with songs like “Sueños inalcanzables” and “Tú te has burlado de mí”. The band also included a journey through summer hits and a tribute to the Canarian artist Quevedo with “Al Golpito” and “La Graciosa”, concluding with “Marejada”.
The night concluded with the band in costume, offering a memorable farewell. The concert was described as an unforgettable, fun, and unique event, perfect for the whole family to enjoy symphonic music, highlighting the interpretive quality of the Municipal Band and its commitment to cultural dissemination during the Santiago Major Festivities of Gáldar.
