The children's park in La Enconada, Gáldar, has been completely renovated to meet current needs, improve safety, and increase accessibility. This intervention is the twenty-first park renovation during the current term.
The renovation involved an investment of 30,000 euros, funded by a grant from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria for the improvement of public facilities. The mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa, along with the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, Nicolás Mederos, government representatives, the president of the Neighborhood Association, Guzmán Perdomo, and numerous residents, presented the updated space.
The Urban Planning Department, led by Heriberto Reyes, replaced deteriorated and outdated play equipment, and also refurbished and varnished existing wooden elements. A new, larger central play structure has been installed, along with a swing adapted for children with reduced mobility, reinforcing the park's inclusive nature.

Mayor Teodoro Sosa highlighted the progress in improving public spaces and mentioned the renovation of parks in San Isidro, Saucillo, Alcaravaneras street in Barrial, La Montaña, and La Heladora over the past year, with ongoing projects in Marmolejos and upcoming ones in Caleta de Arriba, Becerril, and Caideros.

Nicolás Mederos added that since the beginning of the term, children's parks have been renovated in Los Quintana, the Juan Aguiar Park of Sardina, Las Cumbrecillas, Barrial, Piso Firme, Cañada Honda, Marco Polo, El Agujero, La Furnia, La Punta, Palma de Rojas, Los Dos Roques, Granadilla de Abona, Taya, and Nido Cuervo, totaling 21 actions, with another nearing completion and three more to commence.
