The institutional event, held at the Gáldar Town Hall Theater, ratified an agreement aimed at strengthening ties between the Canary Islands and Galicia. The Association of Galician Municipalities of the French Way brings together eleven Galician towns, including Arzúa, Melide, Sarria, and Triacastela, all key points on the route to Santiago de Compostela. This agreement establishes joint working lines, including the organization of festivals, gastronomic exhibitions, and cultural events.
During the day, institutional representatives highlighted the importance of this commitment to generate new economic and social opportunities. The agreement, which continues the contacts initiated last April, was marked by the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at the Gáldar Town Hall.
