To facilitate travel during this key event on the island's festive calendar, the Transport Department of the Cabildo has designed a special operation. The enhanced services will run on Friday, September 18th, and Saturday, September 19th.
The Puerto del Rosario-Antigua route will feature late-night departures on Fridays at 20:30, 21:30, 22:30, and 23:30 hours. Additionally, a continuous service will operate between 01:00 and 07:00 hours the following day. In the reverse direction, Antigua-Puerto del Rosario, departures will be at 21:00, 22:00, and 23:00 hours, also maintaining continuous service until 07:00.
A special service will also be available between Antigua and La Vega de Río Palmas. From Antigua, departures will occur every 30 minutes between 08:00 and 17:30 hours. From La Vega de Río Palmas, departures will also be every 30 minutes within the same timeframe. Subsequently, continuous service will be provided in both directions from 18:00 until 07:00 hours.
On Saturday, September 19th, the special services will focus on the connection between Antigua and La Vega de Río Palmas. Departures from Antigua to La Vega are scheduled for 08:00, 09:00, 10:30, 11:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 17:00, 18:00, and 20:00 hours. In the opposite direction, La Vega de Río Palmas-Antigua, departures will be at 08:30, 10:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:30, 19:30, and 20:30 hours.
The Cabildo reminds passengers that bank card payments are not accepted on these special services, although the transport pass can be used. Eating or drinking inside the bus, or using the luggage compartments, is also prohibited.
