Global Strengthens Bus Services for Gáldar Pride 2026

The transport company is increasing its services to facilitate access to the LGTBIQ+ community events in Gáldar.

Transport company Global has announced a significant reinforcement of its bus routes to facilitate attendance at Gáldar Pride 2026, an event aimed at promoting respect, freedom, and the fight for LGTBIQ+ rights.

In anticipation of the Gáldar Pride 2026 celebration, the municipality is preparing to host a series of events focused on respect, freedom, and the advocacy of LGTBIQ+ rights. To ease attendee mobility, Global will increase its bus services, particularly on the routes connecting Gáldar with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as well as between Gáldar and Sardina, with a total of 66 additional services.
Line 105, connecting Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Gáldar, will operate with special services on Friday, June 19th. Extra departures will be added at 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM, followed by others at 9:20 PM, 9:40 PM, 10:20 PM, 10:40 PM, and 11:30 PM. For those staying out late, early morning services will run at 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM, coinciding with the Queen of Queens Gala and the show 'Furor, furor. The Show' at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta.
The return journey to the Gran Canarian capital will also be facilitated. In addition to the regular hourly services of Line 105 throughout the night, specific reinforcements will be available at 11:30 PM, 12:30 AM, 1:00 AM, 1:30 AM, 2:00 AM, 2:30 AM, 3:00 AM, 3:15 AM, 3:30 AM, 4:00 AM, 4:30 AM, 4:55 AM, and 5:15 AM.
On Saturday, June 20th, the day of the Grand Parade of Gáldar Pride 2026 (starting at 5:00 PM from the Paseo de Los Guanartemes) and the Gran Mogollón del Gáldar Pride featuring DJ Inés Hernand, Manny Manuel, and Aseres, Line 105 will offer extra departures from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM, as well as at 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM. In the early morning, services will run at 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM.
For the return trip from Gáldar to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on Saturday, departures at 11:30 PM and, in the early morning, at 12:30 AM, 1:00 AM, 1:30 AM, 2:00 AM, 2:30 AM, 3:00 AM, 3:15 AM, 3:30 AM, 4:00 AM, 4:30 AM, 4:55 AM, and 5:15 AM will be added to the regular schedule.
Furthermore, services on Line 401, connecting Gáldar with Sardina del Norte, will be intensified. From Sardina to the town center of Gáldar, reinforcements will be available at 4:30 PM, 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM, 11:00 PM, 1:00 AM, 1:50 AM, and 2:55 AM. The reverse route, from Gáldar to Sardina del Norte, will have extraordinary departures at 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 9:00 PM, 10:00 PM, 10:30 PM, 12:30 AM, 1:30 AM, 2:30 AM, and 3:15 AM.
The Gáldar Pride program includes other events such as the Heels Race on Saturday, June 20th at 12:00 PM in the Plaza de Santiago, and the Daytime Pride on Sunday, June 21st, starting at 2:30 PM at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta with performances by Kilombo Improvisado, Nueva Línea, and Armonía Show, as well as DJ Ulises Acosta. The closing event will be the Arkoiris Awards Gala on Sunday at 8:00 PM on the stage of the Centro Cultural Guaires.
Complementing the program, an exhibition of 22 photographs featuring individuals from previous editions of Gáldar Pride is on display in the Plaza de Santiago. These individuals share their personal reflections on respect, freedom, and advocacy in the fight for LGTBIQ+ rights.
