The Guía City Council has completed various actions to modernize its IT system and municipal communications infrastructure. These improvements were made possible by a subsidy of €36,316.33, granted in 2025 by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, which covered 100% of the investment.
The interventions have strengthened the council's technological resources, aiming to provide more agile and efficient public services. Key actions include the acquisition of components and licenses to enhance central servers and expand the range of wireless networks across various municipal departments.
The project also involved renewing the computer equipment for the Citizen Service and Registry Office, as well as incorporating specific software for monitoring and tracking network incidents. These tools will optimize the management and resolution of technical issues.
These enhancements will contribute to reinforcing the current and future technological resources of the municipal IT system, as well as fostering better connectivity between the different council headquarters.
The funding came from a subsidy from the Presidency and Sustainable Mobility Department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, aimed at municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants for projects related to e-administration, digital services, and ICT, for the year 2025.
