The Department of Culture and Municipal Artistic Schools of the Guía City Council has completed the acquisition of new instruments and specialized material, thus reinforcing the municipality's educational resources. The total investment amounted to 8,400 euros, financed by the Ministry of Education and Youth of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
Among the new acquisitions are a Yamaha YTR 4435 trumpet, a Bach trumpet, four alto saxophones, three transverse flutes, violins of various sizes, guitars, a lute, and a children's electric guitar. A significant amount of percussion instruments has also been incorporated, including congas, tumbas, and other specialized items.
This initiative enriches the Schools' musical heritage, improving student training and strengthening the various specialties offered. The management has ensured compliance with the deadlines for fund execution, avoiding the situation from the previous year when administrative difficulties prevented the grant from being utilized, leading to its reimbursement.

The responsible councilor, Julián Melián, emphasized that the value of the investment lies in the opportunities these resources will generate for the students. The Department continues to work to strengthen this institution, which has played a fundamental role in the cultural education of generations of Guía residents.
