The La Oliva Town Council is preparing to approve in plenary session the transfer of the necessary land to carry out the conditioning and accessibility improvement project for the FV-109 road in its section through Lajares.

This initiative, announced by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, represents a significant step forward for works that were definitively approved by the island institution last March. The budget allocated for this action exceeds four million euros.
The planned intervention includes the optimization of the Lajares bypass and, as an additional element, a specific addendum for the development of the sanitation network in the area, which will contribute to a comprehensive improvement of local infrastructure.

"Collaboration between administrations is fundamental for executing strategic projects like this."

Furthermore, the same source added that “the land transfer is a fundamental step to be able to tender works that are highly demanded by the population,” emphasizing the importance of this procedure for the commencement of the works.

"This project responds to a historical demand from the residents of Los Lajares."
