The 'Memoria Viva 2025' employment plan by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura has facilitated the improvement of over fifteen heritage sites on the island since its inception in November 2025, with an investment exceeding 472,000 euros.

Seventeen workers are dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of museums, cultural centers, and other historical sites throughout the island. Recently, a visit was made to the Molino de la Corte, where interior cleaning, wood element conservation, painting, and environmental adaptation tasks have been carried out.

"We are at a moment when we must make an effort to show where we come from and to make known all this legacy, which is part of our identity as an island."

This program, co-financed by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura and the Government of Canarias through the Canarias Development Fund (FDCAN), not only offers employment opportunities but also protects and preserves the island's heritage assets. Coordination with Museos de Fuerteventura and local councils has been crucial for interventions in various locations.
Among the actions undertaken are minor works at the Molino and La Molina de Tefía in Puerto del Rosario, the Molino de El Roque in La Oliva, and the La Ampuyenta Cultural Heritage Complex, which includes the Casa de Fray Andresito, the Hospitalito, and the Casa Doctor Mena. Work has also been done at the Faro del Tostón, Molino de Villaverde, and Cueva del Llano in La Oliva, the Faro de la Entallada in Tuineje, as well as the Casas de Felipito el Feo and the La Atalayita Settlement Interpretation Center in Antigua.
During March, efforts were directed to the Molino de los Llanos de la Concepción in Puerto del Rosario, the Faro de la Entallada, and the Tesjuate Unitary School, the latter thanks to coordination with the Puerto del Rosario City Council for exterior cleaning, environmental adaptation, and structural consolidation work.
