The picturesque hamlet of Epina, located in the municipality of Vallehermoso, is getting ready to commemorate its traditional festivities in honor of San Isidro Labrador next Sunday, August 17, in a day that will merge devotion with local culture.

The festive program will begin at 1:00 PM with the celebration of Holy Mass, which will be officiated by a local priest. Following the religious ceremony, a traditional procession will take place through the square, accompanied by the characteristic sound of chácaras and drums, essential elements of the popular celebrations in the area.
From 2:00 PM, the atmosphere will be filled with music as the dance begins, featuring the groups Tentación Gomera and Amanecer de La Gomera. This afternoon of gathering and celebration is designed for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors who come to the hamlet.
The organization of these festivities falls to the Vallehermoso Town Council and the San Juan Bautista Parish, also relying on the valuable collaboration of the residents of Epina themselves. The surroundings of the Chorros de Epina, known for its legends and its inclusion in the network of Magical Towns of Spain, adds a special attraction to the celebration.
The Vallehermoso Town Council has emphasized the importance of preserving the natural environment, as it is a specially protected area. Therefore, it has been established that the festivities will conclude at 8:00 PM, requesting the cooperation and respect of all attendees towards the landscape that hosts this traditional event.
