The Vallehermoso City Council has concluded the second edition of the Raíces program, an initiative designed to disseminate the cultural legacy, identity, and traditions of the municipality in La Gomera.

The project has facilitated meetings between residents and visitors through various activities in different parts of the territory. Notable proposals included a visit to a banana plantation in La Dama, where traditional cultivation and the preparation of banana bunches were explained, as well as a day dedicated to pottery in El Cercado, focusing on the legacy of the local potters.
The program also included a route between Chipude and Igualero that combined wine tourism with landscape observation, ending with a tasting at the Cumbres de Igualero Winery. Additionally, a historical recreation of the San Juan celebrations was held in the town center.

"Raíces is a program that connects us with who we are as a people. Each activity allows us to transmit our heritage, our history, and our traditions in a close, experiential, and shared way."
