The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) in Teguise has proposed an urgent tender for the municipal Technical Office to bring in more staff and speed up the processing of over 5,000 accumulated files.

The proposal, put forward by the socialist councilors, aims to resolve the issue of accumulated files affecting the Teguise Technical Office. According to the party, this measure would provide the necessary personnel to clear the municipal administrative backlog.

"Behind every file are residents, business projects, and investments, waiting too long for a response from the City Council."

The solution advocated by the socialists aligns with Intervention reports that advise against a direct agreement with Gesplan. By the end of last year, there were 4,787 pending files, a number that, according to the mayor and the head of Urban Planning, now exceeds 5,000.
In addition to the tender, the PSOE advocates for updating the General Plan, which dates back to the last decade, and establishing a working commission that includes members of the government, opposition, and municipal workers. These measures are expected to be debated in an upcoming municipal plenary session.
