The popular markets of Teguise, which attract thousands of visitors, will feature new modular toilets starting in the second half of the year, an improvement driven by the local government.

The Teguise Town Council has initiated the process for acquiring modular toilets, aiming to enhance the experience for attendees at its busy markets. This initiative represents a significant qualitative leap in the services offered, particularly in the town center on Sunday mornings and during the Friday night commercial activities in Costa Teguise.
The initial investment allocated for this project exceeds 116,700 euros, as confirmed by official sources. The purchase award is expected to be finalized between May and June, and the selected entity will have a three-month period for delivery of the materials once the decision is made.
The modular toilets must meet specific requirements to ensure their functionality and durability. A minimum of 14 toilets and at least 3 washbasins per unit will be required. Furthermore, they must be prefabricated, transportable, and designed to withstand intensive public use in outdoor spaces, adapting to the needs of the markets.
