The vandalism of two transformer substations early Wednesday morning left approximately 1,500 users without electricity in La Aldea de San Nicolás.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, disrupted the electricity supply in the municipality of La Aldea de San Nicolás, leaving around 1,500 users without power, many of them in the town center.
According to Endesa, the acts of vandalism targeted two transformer substations. At one, the access padlock was broken, while at the other, essential parts and components for substation operations were stolen. These actions led to the disconnection of nearby substations, directly impacting the area's electricity supply.
The electricity company clarified that the theft did not involve cables but specific components necessary for the substation's proper functioning. Power was fully restored on Wednesday morning after the parts were replaced.
