The Pájara City Council has launched a system of 54 surveillance cameras and license plate readers to bolster security in the municipality.

The municipal government, through the Department of Security and Emergencies, has announced the installation of 54 surveillance cameras and license plate readers. This measure, part of the initiatives promoted during the current term, responds to a citizen demand to improve control and surveillance across the municipality's various areas.
The company NEW ENERGY CONCEPT 2020, S.L will be responsible for the supply, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the new system, under a contract valued at 116,866.47 euros, including IGIC. The project aims to equip the municipality with an advanced surveillance network distributed across 27 strategic locations, with particular focus on the access to the pier.
Specifically, 27 license plate recognition (LPR) cameras and 27 contextual surveillance dome cameras will be installed. The new infrastructure will integrate artificial intelligence for intelligent vehicle detection, automatic license plate reading, zone-based activity analysis, and real-time event monitoring, aiding the operations of the Local Police.
The management platform, accessible via web browser and authorized devices, will centralize visualization, alarms, storage, and user administration. Deployment will utilize 4G and 5G communications with secure VPN connections, optimizing installation and reducing civil works.
The command center of the Local Police will be upgraded with specific equipment, including a high-performance computer and a 55-inch 4K professional monitor, to enhance supervision and response to traffic and public safety incidents.
The project complies with the National Security Scheme (ENS) at a HIGH category, ensuring information protection and data processing security. The awarded company also includes additional improvements such as two extra surveillance points, an extended two-year warranty, and 60 hours of training for platform users.
