The Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council has concluded an eight-month employment plan that facilitated the job placement of 17 vulnerable individuals while improving various natural and urban areas of the municipality.

The program, named 'Environmental Improvement Activities in Santa Lucía', had a budget of 267,421 euros. This initiative was funded by the Canarian Employment Service and the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, in collaboration with the local council.
The 17 participants, all in situations of social vulnerability, carried out cleaning and conditioning work in various areas. These included ravines, coastal zones, and rural paths, contributing to the beautification of the local landscape.

"We have been able to intervene in numerous areas of the municipality, both in the upper parts and on the coast, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment."
