Ingenio Announces Open Opposition for Four Local Police Positions

The Ingenio City Council has published the requirements for filling police officer roles, aiming to strengthen the municipal staff.

The Ingenio City Council has launched a call for applications to fill four Local Police positions through an open opposition process, aiming to bolster the municipality's police force.

These new positions, classified under Group C, Subgroup C1, have had their official bases published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC). This initiative seeks to enhance police presence within the locality.
Interested candidates must meet essential requirements, including being of legal age, holding Spanish nationality, possessing a High School diploma or equivalent, and holding A2 and B driving licenses. Furthermore, a clean criminal record is mandatory.
The application period will remain open for 20 business days, starting the day after the announcement extract is published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). All applications must be submitted electronically via the Convoca platform.
The selection process will consist of four eliminatory tests: physical fitness, psychometric tests, knowledge and language proficiency, and finally, a medical examination. Passing each of these stages is compulsory.
Selected candidates will be required to complete a training course and an 850-hour practical period before being permanently appointed as career civil servants of the Ingenio Local Police.
