The initiative, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands and the UD Las Palmas Foundation, brought together participants from Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote. The main goal of the day was to promote active aging, social interaction, and adapted sports practice among the elderly.
During the event, a walking football tournament was held, a modality designed to facilitate physical activity and social integration. The Ingenio team performed remarkably well, reaching the semifinals and placing among the top four teams in the competition.
Beyond the competition, the day allowed for the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of bonds between attendees from the different islands. The Ingenio Senior Day Center has positively valued the experience, highlighting the importance of these activities in promoting healthy habits and active community participation.
