The Ingenio City Council, through its Agriculture and Livestock Department, has informed olive growers in the municipality that the period for delivering this season's olives will be announced shortly. These olives are destined for milling and subsequent processing into oil at the municipal mill.
Preliminary work to get the facilities operational is already underway, including cleaning and conditioning of tanks, equipment checks, and general inspection of the installation. The objective is to ensure that the production of this 'liquid gold' is carried out with all necessary guarantees, safety measures, and sanitary conditions.

The Councilor for Agriculture and Livestock, Catalina Sánchez, explained that the municipal area is working to have the mill prepared for this new campaign and offer the highest guarantees during the entire process. A technical meeting with the responsible personnel was held on Thursday, September 10th. In this regard, and anticipating the upcoming campaign, she also wished to convey a message of reassurance to farmers regarding the absence of the person in charge of the mill. To guarantee the continuity and correct functioning of the service, the City Council has commissioned the public company Gesplan, ensuring that a professional veterinarian will oversee the process, ensuring compliance with all established requirements.
