The Ingenio City Council has reopened the multi-purpose building on Ramón y Cajal Street, following a comprehensive renovation that has modernized its facilities and adapted them to the current needs of the municipality.
The project, funded with 600,000 euros by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, aims to boost the quality of public services and citizen care. The building will house Social Services, the municipal archive, and a study room for public use.

"It is a comprehensive reform that has allowed not only to modernize the infrastructures, but also to make them more accessible and efficient, with a direct impact on people's quality of life."
The multi-purpose room will initially function as a study room, with code access, until the completion of the new municipal library. Subsequently, this space can be used by groups, entities, and residents for various activities.

"This investment contributes to improving the quality of life of citizens, guarantees dignified public services, and improves the working conditions of staff."
The renovation involved a complete reorganization of the building's more than 1,300 square meters, including new electrical, air conditioning, ventilation, and fire protection systems. Accessibility improvements, such as the installation of an elevator and a new interior layout, were also implemented. The building is expected to be fully operational in the coming days.
