The incident occurred around 5:00 PM and mobilized emergency services from the Gran Canaria Consortium. A corporal and four firefighters from the Puerto Rico station participated in the operation to free the individual, who was trapped inside the car.
After being extracted from the vehicle, the driver received attention from the medical services present at the scene. Subsequently, due to the multiple traumas sustained in the accident, a helicopter evacuation was necessary.
