The Government of the Canary Islands and the Mogán City Council have begun coordinating the construction of a new roundabout on the GC-200 road, aimed at improving access to the historic center.

The project, with a budget of 817,416 euros and an execution period of ten months, will transform the current intersection into a roundabout to optimize traffic flow and enhance road safety.
The work, to be carried out by the Government of the Canary Islands, seeks to facilitate the connection between the main road and the historic center, reorganizing mobility in the area.
The mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, and the Councilor for Public Works, Ernesto Hernández, met with technicians from the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility, the project's drafting team, municipal technicians, and the awarded company to review the details on-site.
Following the visit, Bueno explained that the meeting served to review the project's details and plan the traffic changes during the works. She assured that the City Council will inform citizens about diversions and traffic modifications once the work begins.
The mayor highlighted that this intervention is part of a broader strategy to modernize mobility in the historic center, which includes the new parking building and the future bypass.
Bueno recalled the residential growth of the town center and noted that these works will create new relief routes, organize traffic, and facilitate access for both residents and visitors.
