The 'Mogán, Take the Word' Book Fair concluded its 2026 edition this Saturday, May 16th, wrapping up two days filled with cultural activity in the Plaza Pérez Galdós in Arguineguín. The event featured 25 authors and around thirty stalls, blending Canarian and local talent with workshops, presentations, family activities, and music.
The closing event was headlined by writer and screenwriter Albert Espinosa, known for works like 'El mundo amarillo' and the series 'Pulseras rojas'. Espinosa presented his latest novel, 'Nunca estuviste solo', in an emotional and reflective encounter characterized by its closeness to the audience. Following the talk, he spent considerable time signing books and interacting with attendees.
Friday, May 15th, was marked by the visit of Juan Gómez-Jurado, one of the world's best-selling Spanish-language authors. The writer presented his psychological thriller novel 'Mentira', sharing anecdotes about his creative process and signing copies, which drew a large number of readers.
The fair's program also included meetings with island writers, continuous book signings, and the presentation of the official anthem, 'Toma la palabra', created by the Artistic Schools of Mogán with the collaboration of singer-songwriter Rubén Rodríguez.
This event, promoted by the Mogán City Council through its Municipal Library Network and Gestiona Mogán, has been recognized as an edition marked by the diversity of activities and the presence of top-tier literary figures.
