San Agustín Beach hosted the second day of the 10th Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival, celebrating its tenth anniversary with a lineup of international soul stars.

Thousands gathered at San Agustín Beach for the second day of the 10th Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival. The event, marking its tenth anniversary, reaffirmed its international prestige by bringing together prominent figures of black music in a privileged seaside setting.
The evening kicked off with a set by Dr. Wampush, who presented a curated selection of soul, rhythm & blues, and funk vinyls. Following this, American soul legend John Ellison, composer of 'Some Kind of Wonderful', delivered an elegant and emotional performance.
Starting at 10:00 PM, the Memphis Music Hall of Fame Band, led by Kurt Clayton, showcased the legendary Memphis sound. Shortly after, Shunta Mosby, Dani McGhee, and Candy Fox joined them, creating a high-intensity spectacle.
The night continued with the powerful voice and stage presence of Karen Wolfe, who delivered a concert filled with soul, gospel, rhythm & blues, and funk. One of the evening's highlights was Lenny Williams, whose historic vocals moved the audience, culminating in a rendition of 'Because I Love You'.
The festival concluded with the traditional Grand Finale, where all participating artists from the day—John Ellison, Karen Wolfe, Lenny Williams, Shunta Mosby, Dani McGhee, and Candy Fox, accompanied by the Memphis Music Hall of Fame Band—performed soul classics together, igniting the audience's enthusiasm.
This second day solidifies the Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival as a leading European soul event, thanks to its international programming and audience response. The festival now heads towards its closing day, maintaining its founding spirit: bringing the best international soul to San Agustín Beach and promoting Maspalomas Costa Canaria and Gran Canaria as key cultural destinations.
