The first incident occurred on Sunday, August 2nd, around 9:30 PM, during a vehicle control operation on Las Palmeras Avenue. Officers detected a strong smell of marijuana emanating from a van, prompting a vehicle inspection.
Upon checking the identity of one of the occupants, it was confirmed that he had an active judicial order for search, arrest, and appearance issued by a court in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The individual was arrested and taken to police facilities before being handed over to the Civil Guard.
The second operation took place on Monday, August 3rd, after the Local Police operations room received a report of alleged shoplifting at a supermarket near Puerto Rico beach. A Traffic Unit officer was alerted by the driver of a delivery vehicle about two individuals, one of whom had just stolen several products from the store.
Several police units responded and located the two individuals. One matched the description provided. An inspection of the suspect's bag revealed various items, including bottles of alcoholic beverages, which were identified by the supermarket manager.
The stolen goods were returned, and proceedings were initiated for a minor theft offense, which were forwarded to the Civil Guard for further action. The Mogán Local Police emphasized that these interventions are part of their ongoing preventive and public safety efforts in high-traffic areas.
