The project, with a specific investment of 1,895,140.25 euros, is part of a global tender for the island amounting to 8,911,501.20 euros. The works are included in the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan and will be financed by Next Generation EU funds, under program 1, aiming to reduce household energy consumption.
This initiative is part of a contracting process with an estimated value of 8,911,501.20 euros (excluding IGIC) for the energy rehabilitation of 295 public protected homes in Gran Canaria. The plan also covers actions in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Ciudad del Campo, and San Fernando.
The program's main objective is to finance rehabilitation works in residential buildings and homes, as well as the urbanisation of public spaces within designated Programmed Rehabilitation Residential Areas (ERRP).
