The Yaiza City Council has continued this summer with one of its priority social projects: 'Corresponsible Municipality'. This program benefits the family and work-life balance of thirty households in the municipality, while also supporting the educational, emotional, and social development of the participating children. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Fundación Adsis, utilizing 93,000 euros from the Ministry of Equality, channeled through the Government of the Canary Islands.
'Yaiza Corresponsible Municipality' promotes equal opportunities, child welfare, and family co-responsibility. The project includes academic reinforcement and cultural activities during summer holidays and throughout the year, such as workshops, sports, and crafts. When the academic year begins, families have these resources available in the afternoons and on weekends at municipal facilities.

The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Social Services, César Rijo, defended the budget allocation for this project during the plenary session for the final approval of the municipal budget, dismissing a union objection that questioned the credit modification file. The project targets families in situations of vulnerability, through referrals from Social Services.
The Yaiza City Council has expressed its gratitude for the funding, collaboration, and coordinated work of all individuals and entities involved, also highlighting the use of facilities provided by the CEIP Playa Blanca.
