A 79-year-old man has died this Friday after suffering an accidental fall down a ravine on Camino El Monturrio, in the municipality of La Orotava, Tenerife.

The incident took place last Friday, June 19, when the man, aged 79, fell down a ravine on the aforementioned road. The alert was received by the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Safety Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 at 5:34 PM.
Upon receiving the notice, the necessary emergency resources were activated. Members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium managed to rescue the affected person from the place where he had fallen. Upon confirming he was in cardiorespiratory arrest, they began resuscitation maneuvers.
Subsequently, personnel from the Canary Emergency Medical Service (SUC) and the local health center took over, continuing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers. Despite their efforts, no success was achieved, and the man's death was confirmed.
The Civil Guard was responsible for guarding the deceased's body until the judicial authority arrived, at which point the corresponding report was filed. Officers from the Local Police and the General Corps of the Canarian Police also collaborated in the emergency efforts alongside the other personnel.
