A total of 34 families in situations of social vulnerability in Icod de los Vinos are receiving specialized attention thanks to the CaixaProinfancia program, promoted by Fundación la Caixa and coordinated by Fundación ECCA Social.

The Association for the Promotion of Training, Employment, Information, and Development of the North (Afedes) has reinforced its support services for minors and families in the Tenerife municipality. The program, running throughout the current school year, aims to foster the comprehensive development of children, prevent social exclusion, and improve opportunities for participating families.
Minors, aged between zero and 18 years, benefit from interventions in speech therapy, psychomotor skills, and psychotherapeutic support. Currently, 25 minors receive speech therapy, 20 participate in psychomotor activities, and 8 minors and their families receive individualized attention in the psychotherapeutic area, addressing key emotional and relational aspects.
Collaboration with the educational centers of Icod de los Vinos has been crucial. Afedes highlights the involvement of management and teaching teams, who have provided facilities and constant communication, enabling coherent and adapted care for needs identified in both educational and family spheres.
Beyond individual attention, the program strengthens parental capacities, improves family dynamics, and promotes personal, educational, and social skills that foster autonomy and social inclusion for participants.
Afedes, a non-profit collective founded in 1999, reaffirms its commitment to projects focused on children and families, working to build fairer and more sustainable development pathways in coordination with the community environment.
