CD Tenerife is preparing for its upcoming match against Arenas with several important absences, including Aitor Sanz due to suspension and Nacho, Alassan, Javi Pérez, and Marc Mateu due to injury, which will test the depth of their squad.

CD Tenerife, on the verge of securing promotion with a nine-point lead and only eighteen left to play, has had to overcome numerous setbacks throughout the season. Absences of various kinds have been a constant challenge, especially in the second half of the championship, where the team has had to push hard to secure the necessary points for the desired promotion.
Despite having a more extensive squad, a larger budget, and greater resources compared to other teams in the category, long-term injuries have been one of the most significant challenges for coach Álvaro Cervera. Key players such as Marc Mateu, who suffered a severe injury requiring surgery, and Alassan, with a patellar tendon rupture, have been out of the team's dynamics for extended periods.
Other players like Javi Pérez and Nacho Gil have also seen their participation limited due to injuries. Nacho Gil, considered one of the most decisive signings of the summer, faces a recovery period that could extend until the end of the season, according to Cervera's latest statements.

His absence would be crucial, as Aitor will already be missing against Arenas due to suspension. If Juanjo cannot play, there would only be two options to form the pivot pair in midfield: Fabricio, a substitute on Sunday; and Alberto Ulloa.

For Saturday's upcoming match, the team will once again be without Aitor Sanz due to a suspension for accumulated yellow cards. Additionally, concern focuses on Juanjo Sánchez, who left the last match with discomfort. Although Álvaro Cervera has ruled out a serious injury, his availability for the game against Arenas will depend on his progress in this Tuesday's training session. Should Juanjo be unable to play, the options for the midfield would be limited to Fabricio and Alberto Ulloa.
