Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa Explores Alliances with Gotham FC in New York

The Canary Islands club's management traveled to the United States to establish a framework for collaboration in women's football.

Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa has made an institutional visit to Gotham FC, the reigning NWSL champion, in New York and New Jersey, aiming to establish a collaborative framework for women's football development.

The delegation from CD Tenerife Femenino, led by its president Sergio Batista and board member Sandro Arrufat, traveled to the United States for strategic meetings with Gotham FC. These discussions focused on creating joint sports, commercial, and social initiatives, seeking to boost the growth of women's football and the international visibility of players and institutions.
During their stay, the Canarian representatives attended a National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) match between Gotham FC and Denver Summit FC. They also had the opportunity to tour the American club's sports facilities in New Jersey, observing their training sessions and exchanging sports and institutional projects.

Sergio Batista emphasized the significance of a potential strategic alliance with Gotham FC, highlighting the excellent rapport in meetings with the management and coaching staff. He underscored the current peak moment for women's football and how this collaboration could enhance the global visibility of players' work, opening doors for future shared experiences with American athletes.
For his part, Sandro Arrufat expressed gratitude for the hospitality of the Gotham FC staff and announced that representatives from the American club would return the visit to Tenerife in the coming months. This visit will allow them to gain firsthand insight into the CD Tenerife Femenino project from institutional, sporting, and social perspectives. Max Feldman, Head of Soccer Administration for the U.S. entity, expressed his interest in expanding the reach of both clubs and sharing best practices.
As a gesture of the Canarian club's commitment to promoting local products, the CD Tenerife Femenino board presented an artisanal Canarian cheese to their American counterparts, an initiative carried out in collaboration with Volcanic Xperience.
