The project, with a budget of 6.2 million euros, will cover a 9.7-kilometer stretch between Santa Cruz and Los Rodeos. Technical simulations indicate that this measure will halve travel times in the upward direction and reduce them by 21% in the downward direction.
The infrastructure will operate dynamically, reserving the left lane for buses, taxis, motorcycles, and vehicles with multiple occupants during peak hours. It will feature intelligent transport systems, including variable message signs, monitoring cameras, and embedded road lighting.
Technical documentation is open for review and public comments until April 17. Additionally, the Government Council has approved the rehabilitation of the TF-82 road between El Tanque and Los Silos, allocating 2.9 million euros to enhance road safety over a nine-kilometer section.
