CD Tenerife concluded its stint in Primera RFEF with a defeat against Ourense in a match marked by defensive fragility and a lack of reaction after halftime.

Managed by Álvaro Cervera, the blue and white squad could not hold onto the initial lead secured by Enric Gallego and crumbled in the second half. A lack of intensity and worrying defensive weakness allowed Ourense to come back and secure the win, leaving a very poor impression of the Tenerife team.
The coach made five changes from the previous match, bringing in José León, Juanjo Sánchez, Gastón, Jeremy Jorge, and Jony. The surprise was the start for young Jony, one of the academy's promising talents.
After a first half with little football, Enric Gallego put Tenerife ahead in the 39th minute with a precise finish following an incursion by Jeremy down the wing. The team's top scorer thus extended his goal tally against an Ourense side that seemed to have nothing to play for.
However, the Galician team reacted immediately. An error in midfield allowed Martín Ochoa to initiate a dangerous counter-attack that ended with a shot wide. Tenerife's disconnection after halftime became evident at the start of the second half.
Ourense came out with greater intensity and created several clear chances. In the 47th minute, Jerin Ramos missed an excellent opportunity, and shortly after, Castillo forced a great save from De Vuyst.
The equalizer came in the 57th minute. Martín Ochoa capitalized on the defensive disarray of the blue and whites to score the 1-1. The substitutions made by Cervera, such as Nacho Gil and Maikel Mesa, failed to turn around the team's morale or performance.
Ourense's second goal, an unfortunate own goal after a rebound off Yaakobishvili, sealed the match. A grotesque goal that perfectly summarized Tenerife's embarrassing second half. Further substitutions, including Ulloa and Javi Pérez, also had no effect.
The disaster was compounded by the expulsion of Landázuri in the 94th minute, who received a second yellow card and will miss the start of next season. The final whistle confirmed Ourense's relegation and the official start of holidays for Tenerife.
